Silver Oak’s Alexander Valley Winery
Although slowed by fire and then pandemic, Silver Oak's Alexander Valley winery, the first of its kind to earn Living Building Challenge certification, is a sight to behold. KRBS was fortunate to be included on the design team and executed a stunning if compact all-electric kitchen. Electrolux Thermaline series anchors the cookery, augmented by Rational combi ovens, Groen steam kettle, and all custom stainless steel work by Richmond, CA's own Seaport Stainless. Combined with Silver Oak's extensive sustainable gardens it is quite a culinary playground for Executive Chef Dominic Orsini. The beautiful winery was developed by the Duncan Family, designed by Piechota Architects, with general contracting performed by Cello-Maudru.
